The desert landscape
is an environment of extremes and holds an immense beauty larger than anything you can
imagine until you experience it first hand. The vastness of the land, the incredible red
rock formations, and the many rivers winding through beautiful canyons are sure to impress any
group of travelers and transport them to the wildness of nature found in Utah's Canyonlands.
Backpacking
Your group
will experience the desert landscape through full immersion, not just scenic
overlooks. We'll strap on our packs for an adventure through Canyonlands National
Park where our experienced guides will lead the way through the park on the
look out for lizards and pointing out the area's unique geologic formations.
River Trip
Everyone
will have a chance to wash the desert dirt off of them while paddling down
the scenic Green River, one of the West's hidden secrets. With its remote
location and mellow (but splendidly fun) rapids it is a great option for groups
with all skill levels. The Green River also offers adventures from one day
to five, allowing for camping along the river's sandy beaches, and offering
a great chance to soak in the desert and learn about the Native Americans
that used to call the area home.
We've
set up two itineraries for you: Five days or eight days. The five day trip
includes backing plus one day rafting on the river. The eight day trip has
the backpacking plus a four day raft trip down the Green River. And of course,
these itineraries are flexible, and can be anywhere from seven to fourteen
days long, just tell us what you want.
